Loveland Ohio Chiropractor Dr. David Kauffman treats many patients for migraines, see his take here:
From Dr. Kauffman: "Migraines are notoriously difficult to treat. This is because they usually have multiple triggers, sometimes ten or more. It is very common that one of the triggers is over activity of the nerves in the top of the neck. This over activity can trigger headaches in the majority of the patients we see who suffer from chronic migraines. The chiropractic adjustments are very effective at reducing the nerve interference in the top of the neck and base of the skull. This can help to reduce the frequency and severity of migraines. I have seen a handful of patients with chronic migraines who have reported that their migraines disappeared after a series of adjustments. However, it is usually not our goal to completely eliminate headaches from a person who suffers from migraines with multiple triggers, but rather to lessen the frequency and severity so the patient has a better quality of life."
