Self care for neck and shoulder achiness
Many people get pain, achiness and soreness between their neck and shoulder. Many times this is due to one sided activities like writing, golf, tennis, and poor posture looking at a computer screen or reading a book. Let’s look at some ways to decrease this…
First, a few stretches can go a long way. The two stretches outlined here can help tremendously with this type of achiness.
These two stretches should be done on both sides and usually holding each of these for 20-30 seconds at a time is ideal. These can be done as many times as needed throughout the day.
Other recommendations for neck and shoulder achiness is self massage, topical analgesics, and alternating heat and ice.
If more help is needed try massage for muscle aches, and chiropractic care for neck pain and shoulder pain.
