Natural ways to decrease high blood pressure

Natural ways to decrease high blood pressure:

High blood pressure is affecting more and more Americans as we continue to eat poorly and don’t exercise enough. If you have high blood pressure or you know someone who does, keep reading. There are many medications out there that can help to reduce high blood pressure, but not without side effects. Diuretics alone have side effects including dizziness, lightheadedness, blurred vision, loss of appetite, itching, upset stomach, headaches, muscle cramps, weakness and more. There is clearly a need for natural treatments for high blood pressure. Here are some of the most effective ways to reduce high blood pressure (hypertension).

  1. 600-900 mg of garlic per day for 3-6 months can reduce systolic blood pressure by 8.4 mmHg, and diastolic blood pressure by 7.3 mmHg. That’s a big change!

  2. Supplemental CoQ10 is also recommended to reduce high blood pressure. It can reduce systolic BP by 16mmHg, and diastolic by 10mmHg.

  3. CHOCOLATE!!! Believe it or not, chocolate rich in flavanols (the darkest chocolate you can buy) can reduce systolic BP by 5 mmHg, and diastolic BP by 2.7 mmHg.

  4.

There are many other natural ways to reduce high blood pressure, but the above recommendations are an easy place to start. Talk with your doctor about your blood pressure and any medication or natural treatments you might want to use.
