A Natural Approach to Back Pain

Loveland chiropractic back pain treatmentChiropractic is based on the philosophy of allowing your body to naturally heal through spinal adjustments and lifestyle changes that encourage wellness. For Kauffman Chiropractic, this means working hard to restore your body's normal performance to prevent the need for medications or surgical treatments. We see that many of our Loveland patients are happy to find a natural approach for their health problems.

One advantage of chiropractic is that it helps people decrease or even eliminate the use of drugs. Medications are commonly issued to patients who have back pain. This is such a serious problem that the American Academy of Neurology (AAN) issued a report stating that opioid (painkiller) risks overshadow the advantages when administered for back pain.

Some of the most well-known opiates, according to the National Institute on Drug Abuse, include hydrocodone (Vicodin), oxycodone (OxyContin and Percocet), morphine, and codeine. Data presented by the AAN mention the fact that approximately half of the people taking these types of substances for a period of three months are still dependent on them five years down the road. This can further complicate the difficulty of back pain and recovery, especially if an narcotic addiction arises.

Compare that to chiropractic care which features natural healing and the advantages are obvious. While a drug might be helpful at temporarily relieving the symptoms of a health condition, it's not a long-term solution to the problem. A drug won't fix your damaged back; it will only cover up the pain.

Dr. Kauffman will first examine you to get to the source of your back pain and then work with you to solve the spinal interference -- without the need for risky medications.

Kauffman Chiropractic also serves patients in the Goshen, Maineville, Indian Hill and Landen areas, so if you're ready for pain relief, naturally, give our Loveland office a call at (513) 444-4529 to make an appointment.
